Makueni County Sand Conservation and Utilization Authority held a vibrant team-building event aimed at reflecting on the achievements and challenges of the past year while setting the stage for greater accomplishments in the year ahead.
The event was attended by staff, management and key county leaders, who came together to celebrate milestones, strengthen bonds and strategize for improved service delivery to the residents of Makueni County.
Makueni County Sand Conservation and Utilization Authority Board Chairperson, Sammy Mukeku, emphasized the importance of unwavering commitment to work, urging the team to take the Authority to greater heights.
Dr. Justin Kyambi, the County Secretary, graced the occasion with a powerful call for teamwork and effective leadership. He reiterated the importance of working together to achieve the Authority’s mission of sustainable sand harvesting and conservation.
Also in attendance were the ECM Lands, Japheth Mangoka and Chief Officer Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Geoffrey Ngovi, who commended the Authority for its resilience and commitment to its mandate. They encouraged the team to continue striving for innovative solutions to enhance sand conservation and utilization.
The event featured engaging activities that fostered open dialogue and a renewed sense of purpose among the staff. It also provided a platform to celebrate the Authority’s key achievements in 2024.
As the Authority looks forward to 2025, it remains committed to its vision of promoting sustainable sand resource utilization and conservation for the benefit of current and future generations.
