Governor H.E. Mutula Kilonzo Jr. inspects Ilovoto sand dam in Kilungu Ward, emphasizing Makueni Sand Conservation and Utilization Authority's commitment to enhancing community resilience through improved water access. The 75-cubic-meter water sump is set to benefit 800 households, paving the way for a sustainable future with a 1,000-meter throwback. 

In addition to supporting SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, this initiative will empower local communities, improve agricultural productivity and enhance overall livelihoods. By ensuring reliable access to water, the Authority is fostering sustainable development and resilience in the face of climate challenges.
